A few months ago we wrote about some of our favorite earrings in a post called “Lobe Your Neighbor” where we included several of Sandy Hyun’s creations. It came to our attention that we are fortunate enough to share a mutual friend with Sandy and were quickly introduced. Sandy is not only talented but incredibly kind and has been a great resource to us as we’ve grown.

Sandy grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and developed a keen interest in refreshing old jewelry. She has evolved her designs to include collections that mix custom laser cut lucite, fine Italian leather, semi precious stones and rare vintage chains and crystal. She insists her materials are sourced and plated in the US and handmade in Brooklyn, NY.

We love the way she beautifully blends a huge range of creativity and expansive use of materials. She can be found in Anthropologie, Free People and many other boutiques along with her own well-designed website sandyhyun.com.

I love all of her pieces but am crazy over the simple beauty of the Hudson Tassel and Scarlett Necklace. I can also see myself wearing the Chandelier Earrings on a regular basis! What are your favorites?
